Frequently asked questions.

Can I bring my children to Mass?

Yes! Our community thrives on the spiritual growth and development of everyone, especially the youngest members. We encourage bringing children of any ages to services. For the littlest ones prone to “joyful noises”, you may choose to take them to our nursery for all, or part of the Mass.

I’ve never been to Mass, should I take Communion?

If you are new to the faith, we encourage you to come up during Communion to receive a blessing. To indicate that you would like a blessing, kneel at the rail, and cross both arms over your chest with your hands touching your shoulders. If you have questions specific to your situation about receiving Communion, please contact Fr. Bell.

What should I wear to Mass?

St. Mary’s does not keep a strict dress code. However, you are encouraged to come with dignity and modesty. General advice would be to dress in a manner that reflects the reality that you will encounter the true presence of God.

How can I follow the service?

Mass booklets are available for both Sunday services, they can be found on the table to the right of the entry door, or you can get one from the usher. The booklets will walk you through the mass and provide instruction for participating. New booklets are printed for every service, so you may keep yours if you’d like.
